How To Apply...
The Southfield Kappa League is now accepting applications for membership for the 2024-2025 school year. The application is now online and all required documents should be submitted at time of applying.
After all documents have been submitted and requirements have been met, the candidate’s information will then be reviewed by the Southfield Kappa League Executive Board, Committee Chairs and Advisory Board. Please note: Applications, letters of interest, and letters of recommendation must be provided by June 1st, of the year of the upcoming fall interest period whereby applicants are entering the 9th or 10th grade. Scheduled interviews of qualified candidates will occur only after receipt of written or telephone confirmation is provided to the prospective applicant identifying the scheduled date. Each candidate will be required to confirm their availability and confirmation of scheduled interview time.
What Is Required?
The Southfield Chapter of Kappa League requires all prospective members to participate in an application procedure prior to consideration for membership. Also, the requirements of joining the Southfield Chapter of Kappa League shall be fulfilled prior to acceptance. These requirements are as follows:
▪ Minimum Cumulative Grade Point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 grade scale at the time of application submission.
▪ High School Enrollment (must be entering the 9th and 10th grade in the fall semester of the upcoming school
year)
▪ A letter of interest from the applicant (1 full page – typed and double spaced)
▪ 2 Letters of recommendation.
One from a teacher.
One from a community leader-coach, employer, volunteer supervisor, mentor, pastor, etc.
▪ A picture of yourself.
