Our chapter received the National Reclamation Award from the Grand Chapter, presented by the Senior and Junior Grand Vice Polemarchs, for [...]]]> The 80th Grand Chapter meeting and centennial celebration of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. proved to be a very successful one for the Southfield Alumni Chapter, who has achieved much during this meeting.

Our chapter received the National Reclamation Award from the Grand Chapter, presented by the Senior and Junior Grand Vice Polemarchs, for bringing back the highest percentage in the Fraternity of brothers into dues-paying membership during the 2010-11 Kappa year. Also, the Southfield Kappa League received the top award in the Fraternity for its 2010-11 scrapbook, essentially making it the top Kappa League program of the year. Congratulations go out to Brothers Edward Griffin and Richard Smart, respectively, and their committees for the exemplary work they did this past year to advance the Fraternity and the community.

Let us also congratulate chapter member and Northern Province Polemarch Harry G. Franklin on being elected to the Grand Board of Directors. His 23 years of wonderful service to the Fraternity have been recognized locally and regionally, and now, his dedication will be recognized nationally.

As evidenced by what took place at the 80th Grand Chapter meeting and centennial celebration of our fraternity, the Southfield Alumni Chapter is continually on the move!
