1911

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was founded January 5, 1911 at Indiana University.  Today, the fraternity has over 105,000 members with 700 undergraduate and alumni chapters in every state of the United States, and international chapters in the United Kingdom, Germany, Korea, Japan, the West Indies and South Africa.

Our Journey So Far

Kappa Alpha Psi is a major contributor in the fields of political, social, cultural and scholastic achievement. The fraternity sponsors programs providing community service, social welfare and academic scholarship through the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation and is a supporter of the United Negro College Fund and Habitat for Humanity.

1986

The Southfield Alumni Chapter was established July 19, 1986. The chapter is very active in the community through a number of social and service programs. All of the initiatives serve to fulfill the mission and vision of the Southfield Alumni Chapter.

Our Mission

The Southfield Alumni Chapter is the local communications and implementation arm of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. in the Northern Province. Our mission is to make a concrete difference in our families, communities and profession through commitment, integrity, involvement, spirituality and honorable achievement.

Our Vision

The vision of the Southfield Alumni Chapter is to be recognized as the premier alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., at both the Provincial and National levels.
